Special programme
BLUME Support offers targeted therapeutic intervention—in collaboration with insurance companies and municipalities:
Extensive international and Danish research documents that both seriously ill patients and their closest relatives have a markedly increased risk of developing clinical anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The same applies to parents of children in distress or with neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism, etc.).
Clinical psychotherapy and crisis support for serious illness
BLUME offers specialised programmes based on a nursing and therapeutic background. The therapy has a clear healthcare aim: to prevent and alleviate severe psychological after-effects such as clinical anxiety, depression, and PTSD in people affected by serious or life-threatening physical and mental illness. Through evidence-based psychotherapy, clinical guidance, and the introduction of specific self-help tools, we work purposefully to stabilise mental health and strengthen clients’ coping capacity during serious illness trajectories.
The specialised programmes are delivered by our team of psychotherapists with an additional healthcare background (e.g., nurse, physiotherapist, physician, etc.).
Psychotherapy and crisis support for relatives
Being a relative of a person with a serious or life-threatening illness is an extreme psychological strain that often triggers anxiety and depression. BLUME offers specialised psychotherapy for relatives with the healthcare aim of preventing, alleviating, and treating specific psychological reactions such as clinical anxiety, depression, and other stress-related reactions. Through therapeutic treatment and self-help tools, we work purposefully to protect and restore the relative’s mental health.
Psychotherapy for acute life crises, shock, and trauma
In sudden, profound life crises—such as the loss of an infant (stillbirth), the news of a child with a disability, or a sudden death in the immediate family—the nervous system is often left in a state of shock. BLUME offers specialised psychotherapeutic crisis support with the healthcare aim of preventing and alleviating severe after-effects such as clinical anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
The specialised programmes are delivered by psychotherapists with an additional healthcare background and specialist knowledge of shock/trauma-related stressors.
Psychotherapy and crisis support for parents of children in severe distress
Navigating prolonged school refusal, distress, and neurodivergence (such as ADHD or autism) in one’s child constitutes a chronic overload for parents. BLUME offers specialised psychotherapy for parents with the healthcare aim of preventing and treating severe stress reactions, clinical anxiety, and depression resulting from the life crisis and “system stress.”
Through therapeutic treatment and self-help tools, we work purposefully to protect parents’ mental health and prevent clinically indicated sick leave.
